Equestrian and Barnyard Program

The best Equestrian Program for kids in Pinellas County is at Country Day Largo’s Campus!

IMG_3920Covid 19 has forced us to discontinue our current PE lesson program. We hope to resume as soon we can safely do so.

Country Day Stables, affiliated with Country Day School, is located in central Pinellas Country, Florida near Largo, Seminole, St. Petersburg, and Clearwater. Established in 1975, the equestrian facility includes three barns and lighted riding arenas, and is home to horses of many breeds, farm animals, and riders of all ages.

Riding Lessons

At Country Day Stables, riding students are given the opportunity to master the basics of riding. Students learn to become confident and independent riders. Lessons are available for the beginner through the advanced rider. We provide dependable schooling horses, and instruction is available in both English & Western Horsemanship.

For beginners, no prior horse experience is necessary. Introduce your child to the joy of horses in our safe and comfortable learning environment. Already know how to ride? Continue your horsemanship skills with intermediate to advanced lessons at Country Day Stables. Riding Lessons are designed for ages eight and older.

Country Day students eight and older have the opportunity to take riding lessons  during their regularly scheduled PE classes!

Leasing & Showing Program
Is your horse rider ready for the next level? Country Day’s leasing programs allow students to experience the joys of horse ownership. Your family can see what it is like to own a horse (without the ownership commitments!). Students are able to build a bond with the leased horse through lessons, showing and Sunday barn time.
