All parents of Country Day School students are members of Country Day School's parent teacher student association the Friends of Country Day. Friends of Country Day is a non-profit organization primarily focused on hosting community events and fundraisers to compliment the outstanding educational program at Country Day School. We are comprised of Parents, Teachers, and Students who volunteer time and resources to benefit the school and the community! We pride ourselves in encouraging a strong sense of family and community with our members and children.
Led by a board and several committees, the Friends of Country Day works with the school administration to achieve the following goals:

Provide opportunities for parents and families to meet together socially.

Serve as a communications link between the school and families, particularly through Class Representatives.

Create opportunities for parent education through lectures, speakers and discussion sessions.

Facilitate parents' financial and volunteer support to the school through events that traditionally include a winter auction and a spring walk-a-thon.
Meetings
The Friends of Country Day holds monthly board meetings the first Tuesday or Wednesday of every month (usually at 3:30 PM). These meetings are attended by all board members and room representatives and are open to all parents. Topics of discussion usually are focused on upcoming school events. The meetings are typically in Cottage 3 (or forum weather permitting) but stop by the front office prior to the meeting to find out the location.
Two general meetings are held during the school year (spring and fall). These meetings are usually held in the school forum with refreshments and a guest speaker.
"Evening with Friends" Winter Auction & Social
On Saturday, February 11, 2012, The Friends of Country Day Organization held their annual event at the Bayou Club, Largo, Florida. There were cocktails, dinner, dancing, silent auctions and more! thank you for the support of all the Country Day families.
