General Camp Information

ENROLLMENT REQUIREMENT
Country Day School reserves the right to combine camps if minimum enrollment is not met. If a camp must be canceled, all fees will be applied to another available camp. If we are unable to accommodate you, a full refund will be mailed to you.
EXTENDED CARE
AM Extended Care is from 7:30 AM-9:00 AM. Campers arriving prior to 9:00AM will be placed in AM Extended Camp Care. The fees are $30.00 weekly or $7.00 per morning drop-ins.
PM Extended Care is from 3:15-6:00 PM daily. All campers not picked-up by the end of dismissal will be placed in PM Extended Care. The fees are $30.00 weekly or $7.00 per afternoon drop-ins. Before & Aftercare combined is $50 per week or $12 per day: payable in advance.
Late pick-up charges of $1.00 per minute will be charged to all campers not picked up by 6:00 PM.
All Extended Care fees are required to be paid weekly and up to date to ensure child’s participation in summer camp programs

LUNCH & SNACKS
Full day campers will need to pack a lunch. Use of a microwave/refrigerator is NOT available. Please send cold/hot packs with child’s lunch. Mark your child’s name on his/her lunchbox and all personal belongings.
2year old/3-K Campers will be offered a nutritious snack daily. Grades 1-8 Campers will need to pack a snack daily or may purchase one from our Snack Locker.
NUT POLICY
Due to severe peanut allergies, peanut butter products are not allowed at Country Day Summer Camp. Please do not send lunches and snacks that contain peanut butter or other peanut products.
The School Snack Locker offers healthy and popular snacks, candy & ice pops, ranging from 50¢ to $1.00 each. The Snack Locker is open throughout the day. You may open a pre-paid snack account in the front office. Drinks are available for purchase at the vending machine for $1.00.
POOL RULES
Our on site pool will be open with Red Cross Certified Lifeguards and Water Safety Instructor supervision. Country Day proudly offers swimming instruction under the Red Cross Aquatics guidelines. Campers will receive swim instruction as well as recreational swim time.
Please bring:
- a towel
- pool shoes
- goggles
- sunscreen
- a one piece bathing suit.
Again, sandals/flip flops are for swim time only. All campers must wear closed toed shoes to camp. If earplugs are needed, your child must be able to insert and remove them independently
LOST & FOUND
Please mark all items brought from home, including towels, goggles, lunchboxes and sunscreen. Lost and Found is located outside of Cottage 3. Do NOT send toys or electronics to camp. Country Day is not responsible for personal items. Unclaimed items are donated to charity after 2 weeks.
PHOTOGRAPHY
Country Day School reserves the right to use any photograph or video tape taken during Country Day Summer Camps in various publications, including, but not limited to website, brochures, yearbook, advertising, promotional or news media coverage.
DRESS CODE
Clothing should be appropriate for indoor/outdoor summer activities. Tennis shoes or appropriate athletic shoes are required. No sandals/flip-flops or crocs please (except for pool time only).
CONDUCT
Country Day reserves the right to dismiss any participant whose conduct or influence is not in the best interests of the camp. In such event no refund will be given.
ILLNESS
It is important that you keep your child home if he/she has any unexplained rash, persistent cough, runny nose, fever or vomiting during the night. This policy is in the best interest of your child, as well as all of our campers.
MEDICATIONS
Any medications which need to be administered at camp will require a signed permission slip with specific directions. Pinellas County Licensing requires that all medication MUST be handled through the School Office. Do not hand medication to Camp Counselors. Please bring all medications to the office. Do not leave medication in your child’s lunchbox.
WEATHER
During inclement weather, programs are not canceled and activities may vary by day. In the event of severe weather, (hurricane, etc.) camp closing information will be broadcast on Bay News 9, Channel 10, WFLA 970AM and posted on the website

Weather disruption: If an outdoor activity is interrupted due to inclement weather, alternate theme specific activities will be substituted.

Grades 1-8: Arrival: 8:45—9:00am
Dismissal: 3:00-3:15pm
Age 2-Kindergarten: Arrival 9:00-9:15am
Dismissal: 2:45-3:00pm

The office will be open from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. Please contact the office with any questions or concerns regarding your child.
