Class Snack Ideas
Allergy Alert-
We have students with severe allergies to nuts and nut products. Our classrooms need to be nut product free. Please do not send any nuts or nut products to school for snack or in lunch boxes. This includes peanuts, cashews, almonds, etc.
We are required to serve 2 healthy food groups. We try to avoid sweets. Please supply enough for 25 – 30 children. Thank you for volunteering to contribute snack!
- Cheese and crackers
- Mini bagels and cream cheese
- Grapes and graham crackers
- Cantaloupe and crackers
- Pretzels and cheese (check labels! Some pretzels are produced in facilites that process nuts!)
- Pumpkin bread
- Veggies and dip
- Any fresh fruit
- Yogurt (please avoid the “children” brands that are full of added sugar and dyes)
- Applesauce and graham crackers

- Sandwiches
- Salad and dressing
- Raw veggies and dip

- Applesauce
- Fresh fruit- apples, grapes, cantaloupe, orange slices, blueberries
- raisins, dried fruit
- cold pasta
- Hard boiled egg
- turkey and cheese rolls
- Crackers & cheese
- Leftovers from previous night’s dinner
- Occasional chips and cookies
- please avoid “fruit” rollups and gummy fruits as they are mostly sugar and dyes
We will encourage the children to eat what is good for them first.
No candy PLEASE!
Please include a drink and a child safe ice pack.
Lunch boxes are kept in your child’s cubby.
Microwaves for heating up lunches are NOT available.
