Country Day strives to offer healthy and delicious meals through our Lunch Program. Student wellness is addressed by concentrating on published nutritional guidelines, along with nutrition education & physical activity.

Three meal plans are offered.

The “A” Meal choice is a non-vegetarian entrée.

The “B” Meal choice is a vegetarian entrée.

The “C” Meal choices are available every day and only need to be written in on the “C” line on the menu. Choose from: a chef salad, garden vegetarian salad, chicken Caesar salad, tuna or a ham/turkey/sandwich or wrap. Peanut butter and jelly is available to 1st – 8th grades only.  Due to peanut allergies, we are not able to offer PBJ to the Pre-Primary or Primary 1, 2 & 3 classrooms.

All 3 Plans endeavor to meet nutrition guidelines by including a vegetable and a fruit serving, along with the entrée. Many entrees are made from scratch, when possible.  We do not use any deep fat fried foods. No candy or sweets are served through the Lunch Program.The vegetable serving is fresh when possible, but may involve a prepared frozen vegetable. The fruit serving is always seasonal fresh fruit. The drinks offered each day are: 2% milk – white or chocolate, orange juice, apple juice or  ½ pint water bottles. One drink is included in the 3 Meal Plans; additional drinks are 50¢ each.

Our pizza is catered by Joto’s Pizza in Seminole. Every Wednesday we offer cheese and pepperoni pizza by the slice, and/or an individual order of breadsticks. All items are individually priced; the cost of the drink is 50¢ and needs to be added into the total for the day. Per our agreement with Joto’s, all pizza orders are placed on the Tuesday afternoon before Pizza day. We regret that we can no longer accept orders on Wednesday morning for pizza.

To help facilitate ordering and planning, please submit your menu and payment into the office prior to the first of each month. Payment must be made at the time your menu is submitted. For your convenience, all menus are posted to the web site (hard copies are available in the office, as well). Since all food is ordered in advance, we regret that we are unable to offer refunds when your child is absent. A missed lunch may be picked up at the office or sent home with a sibling, if desired.  If a lunch is cancelled a week in advance, the missed lunch price can be carried over to the next month's menu.
